Our company used to be Sports Conditioning Specialists.
Thus, we know how to get your athletes in shape, faster, and stronger. Speed, agility, quickness, explosiveness, and
vertical jump can all be improved with hard work and our knowledge.
That is all you need. A lot of the old methods still work, we just put a
little twist to them.
Check out this new video, as it shows just one example of
how we can help an athlete get faster. This is a video demonstrating how
we improved one of our athlete's leg stride.

LOOK AT THOSE IMPROVEMENTS!! YOU COULD BE MAKING
THOSE IMPROVEMENTS AS WELL!!
"Sports
Conditioning Specialists have helped a number of our athletes make incredible
progress as soccer players at the highest levels of high school soccer. Thanks
to SCS we've seen very good players become all-district, All-Ohio and even NSCAA
All-American! Adam and his staff do an incredibly thorough, dedicated and
dynamic job with the athletes they help develop."
- Scott Dempsey, girls soccer coach at Bexley High School.
Vertimax training and the Super-Fast treadmills
are nice and someone obviously thinks they're beneficial, but we can produce the
same results without the fancy gizmos. If you aren't afraid of a little
sweat and effort, then read on and find out how we can help you.
Our strength and speed program was created by Adam Kessler, who while
forming his company, also
served as head strength coach for Columbus Academy High School from 2001-05.
During his time at Columbus Academy, his work with the teams helped produce the
following results:
Three state championship teams (Field Hockey 2003, 2004 and Football 2003)

One state runner up team (Baseball 2003)
One individual state wrestling championship
Working at a small school, 20+ athletes have gone on to compete
collegiately
His strength program has produced 4-500 pound squatters, 13-400 pound
squatters, and 4-300 pound bench pressers. Which, once again, coming
from a small school this says a lot
The speed at which their sports teams played was a direct result of the
hard work put in the strength program
"Speed kills and I am a firm believer that what you do in
the weight room translates to speed on the football field. We had a
strength program in place, but when Adam took over, he fine tuned it and
made it workable and efficient. Our workouts were shorter, but we
were still getting stronger and faster.
Our state championship football team was built for speed. Yeah,
we had fast guys naturally, but it was the speed developed from the other
guys that surprised the coaches and myself. I would definitely
recommend this Speed and Strength training program to anyone who needs to
get their team to that next level." -Jim Collis, Head Football Coach of the 2003
State Champion Columbus Academy Vikings.
"This
was the most prepared our girls have been at the beginning of practice in
October. Adam Kessler was very professional and challenged our girls to
reach their optimum level." - Dave Butcher, girls basketball
coach at Pickerington North and owner of 6 state titles.
The 2006-07 Pickerington North Girls Basketball Team reached the state
semi-finals. The 2009-10 team is currently ranked #1 in the state (as of
February 4, 2010).
In fact, in this past year, we have had athletes participate in our program
who have come from the following schools:
"We hired Adam for a two week boot camp at the beginning
of this pre-season. I think it helped immensely and we will be doing it
again next year." Erik Feinstein, boys soccer coach at Canal
Winchester.
These are the average improvements that an athlete could demonstrate by
working at Fitness Planning Consultants, Inc.:
Almost 3 inches in the vertical jump, with one athlete improving by
8 inches
A decrease of .13 seconds in the 10 yard dash time, with a high of
almost .4 seconds
A decrease of .15 seconds in the 20 yard dash time, with a high of
.45 seconds
A decrease of .26 seconds in the 20 yard shuttle run, with a high
of .61 seconds
A decrease of .1 tenth of a second means you are covering a little over 2
feet faster than before
For our speed and strength programs, we can adjust the length of the program
and the frequency to fit your needs. If you only have a limited amount of
time or have a whole off-season, the program will be created specifically for
you. On average, our program lasts 8 weeks and we encourage athletes to
come in twice a week.
Bottom Line: You can probably find a
cheaper program out there, but usually you get what you pay for. We only
do one on one or private small group training because the quality is what is
most important to us. We identify technique issues, correct them, and then
develop the power/speed you need to be a successful athlete. If this is
the philosophy you want for your athlete, read about our initial assessment.
Initial Assessment
To find out how we can help you, we will recommend you start with our initial
Assessment. The cost for this Assessment will be $75. This
Assessment will consist of the following:
Filling out a complete health questionnaire
Discussing what your goals are
Reviewing exercise history
Discussing nutritional habits
Taking selective measurements/tests
Laying out a plan for what you need to accomplish to achieve your
fitness goals
Once we have evaluated you, we will be able to explain to you the different
programs that we have to get you stronger and faster. This includes, but
not limited to: one-on-one training, semi-private training, and individual
programs you can do on your own. Our Assessment is provided with a 100%
Money Back Guarantee, in case you didn't feel that this Assessment was valuable
to you.
Please Note: You will be evaluated and tested at the initial
Assessment, but you will only be post-tested if you have trained with us for 8
weeks or more. Anything less will not provide enough training to see a
significant progress. We certainly allow athletes to train with us for any
length of time. If you need a quick tune up between seasons, have only a
short time frame, etc., but the post test won't be performed unless you have
worked with us for 8 weeks or more.
